Anticipate the local need of your disciple-makers, leaders, and mentors.
Be the face of OM or OW where you live. Establish our presence and trust as a movement.
You see your locality as your mission field. You are wanting to truly see disciple-making grow in your local churches and community. An ownership mentality means you're not waiting on movement to happen, but that you are being proactive and making movement possible. You fast, pray, pursue leaders, and consider what you could do to be wind in the sails of those who have joined us in this journey. At the end of the day you are not waiting or dependent on us, but joining us in the race.
Responsibilities:
Meet with each Ordinary Movement leader in their locality at least once a year to check in on their progress and offer support and guidance.
Plan and host a gathering of all local leaders with their spouses at least once a year to build community and strengthen relationships.
Attend local Ordinary Movement groups to stay connected with the movement's progress in their locality and offer support and encouragement to participants.
Plan a local Ordinary Movement event for all Ordinary Movement participants, leaders, mentors, and to recruit new individuals to join the movement.
Act as the liaison for their locality with the national organization, ensuring that communication is flowing smoothly and that the local movement is aligned with the larger vision and goals of the organization.
If/when you transition roles, identify a candidate for your current position and successfully set them up for success to build off the work you began.
Ensure that the Ordinary Movement is excelling in connecting individuals to the larger vision and organization by actively seeking out new participants and offering support to those who wish to get involved.
We would love to note that the responsibilities above are not exhaustive, but simply a solid foundation. We invite you to dream with us on what this role could look like! The sky's the limits, you can build a team, do far more than we imagined, you could change the city where you live!
