Jeremy McCommons | Founder / CEO / Director of Ordinary Men | Board Member
As the Founder of Ordinary Movement and Director of Ordinary Men, Jeremy McCommons casts and protects the vision God has given for the organization. As a visionary and leader of the organization, he also finds it important to continue to lead OM groups and mentor leaders, keeping discipleship at the forefront of what we do as an organization and what he does as the Director.
Jeremy has not always been a leader of a ministry; he remains a business owner of several real estate-related businesses. However, in 2015 his relationship with the Lord was drastically changed after being encouraged to pursue the Lord in intimacy. From this pursuit of a vibrant relationship with Jesus, the Lord birthed the vision for Ordinary Men in Jeremy’s heart. He now utilizes the skill set learned from years of business ownership to advance the Kingdom through Ordinary Movement.
A true Ordinary Man at the core, Jeremy grew up in small coal mining towns in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He was raised in a very modest home and was taught the value of hard work. Sports, specifically football, was a driving force in his life during his school years. He was awarded a full scholarship to play football at James Madison University, and this high challenge environment and coaching have helped shape his approach to leadership today. He and his wife Jessica have a daughter, Reese, and a son, Caden. His family now resides in the Vail, Colorado area, where he enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, trout fishing, and big game hunting. His passion is for men to encounter the Lord in intimacy that breeds passion and births purpose in their lives.
