Training Overview

Ready to lead a group and make disciples?

This course was created by ordinary people, for ordinary people. If you are looking for a simple discipleship tool that you can use to disciple those in your life, then this is it! This training will help you maximize Ordinary Movement, and the tools and platform that we offer. We cover all the essential values of an effective disciple-maker, the "how-to" in leading groups within our model, and we provide helpful leadership practices that will make your group impactful, not just a Bible study but instead a movemental discipleship making platform that you and your group members can use as you multiply into disciple-makers.

We can't emphasize this enough: your group's quality, culture, and effectiveness are deeply impacted by the style of leadership that you practice. (our workbook by itself will not create the outcome you’re desiring)
If you learn these practices and perspectives you will see high impact and growth in your group.

Using Workbooks and Books

  • Groups participate in 26 sessions together.

  • You will start with the OM or OW Workbook for the first five sessions.

    • In session six you will dive into your first external book, Secrets of the Secret Place by Bob Sorge.

  • In total seven sessions are dedicated to exploring third-party books, here's the full list:

    • Secrets of the Secret Place (Legacy Edition) by Bob Sorge (Chapter 45, entire book suggested) (Timeline - Session 6 of Workbook)

    • The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee (Chapters 1, 2, & 3) (Timeline - Sessions 9 & 10 of Workbook)

    • The Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee (Chapters 1 & 4) (Timeline - Session 11 of Workbook)

    • Forgotten God by Francis Chan (Full Book) (Timeline - Sessions 13, 14, & 15 of Workbook)

  • Option for Watchman Nee's Books:
You will only read a couple of chapters in The Normal Christian Life and The Spiritual Man. Be aware that buying these two books is not a necessity, as the resource section in your OM books will have links to the PDFs of these chapters. With that said, we highly encourage you to still purchase The Normal Christian Life, as we have found this book to be very beneficial to read in its entirety.
