You've Been Invited
Someone who cares about you just invited you to be part of something that could change your life.
They're starting a discipleship group — and they want you in it.
This page will tell you everything you need to know.
What You've Been Invited To
This isn't another Bible study where you consume content and move on. It's not the latest small group curriculum that ends with everyone saying "that was nice" and nothing changing. And it's not a casual hangout where you stay surface-level and call it community.
You've been invited into a discipleship group — a small group of people who will walk together through a proven process designed to help you:
Grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus
Build real, meaningful friendships
Become someone who can help others do the same
The person who invited you has already committed to leading this group. Now they're looking for a few people who are ready to say yes.
What Is Ordinary Movement?
Ordinary Movement is a nationwide movement of believers who are done with consumer Christianity and are stepping into ownership of being disciples who make disciples. Teachers. Firefighters. Business owners. Parents. Nurses. Retirees. People who aren't professional Christians and don't have theology degrees — but said "I'm willing" and discovered that God could use them to live a life of purpose that begins from a place of calling.
____
We provide a simple discipleship process for small groups — a 27-session workbook, a free app, and a structure that actually produces transformation and multiplication. To be clear, it's not the process that does the change — it's the result of pointing people towards Jesus and teaching them how to know Him.
When you join a group, you're joining a movement. Not a program to complete — a lifestyle of discipleship to live.
Our three pillars:
Intimacy with Jesus Everything starts here. This isn't about learning more information — it's about growing your personal relationship with Christ.
Intentional Relationships You'll build deep friendships with the people in your group. Not surface-level. Real.
Multiplication The goal isn't just to finish a workbook. It's to become someone who can help others grow — and eventually lead a group yourself.
Here's what participants consistently experience:
99% report growth in intimacy with Jesus
Deeper friendships than they've had in years
Clarity on their purpose and calling
Confidence to live out their faith — not just talk about it
A community that actually knows them
Why Join?
"This last year probably saved my life. I say that as a guy who has struggled with depression. The prayer and connection with the people in my group, coupled with the power of the Spirit, turned my outlook around, gave me friends to rely on, and support to take on each day and succeed." — Group Participant
"This group made me go from needing more intimacy with God to wanting it. Having people pray for me and disciple me has been life-changing." — Ashley B.
How Our Discipleship Process Works
How It Works
1. You join a small group Your group will have 1 to 10 people and a leader (the person who invited you).
2. You meet regularly Most groups meet weekly or bi-weekly for 6-12 months. Your leader will share the schedule.
3. You work through the process together Each week, you'll complete a session from the workbook on your own, then gather with your group to discuss, share, and pray.
4. You grow — and so does everyone else By the end, you won't just have finished a book. You'll have been challenged to practice what you learned, and if you do the work, you'll see the life-changing results.
What to Expect
Real conversations This isn't a lecture. You'll share, listen, and be known.
A high-challenge, high-grace environment We don't coddle — but we don't condemn either. You'll be pushed to grow, and you'll be supported every step of the way.
Consistency over time This isn't a weekend retreat. It's a journey. The best results come from showing up, week after week, for the full duration.
Community that goes deep Many participants say their group became some of the closest friendships they've ever had.
What's Expected of You
This only works if everyone is all in. Here's what we ask:
Commit for the duration Groups run 6-12 months depending on how often you meet. Commit to the full journey — not just the first few weeks.
Do the work Complete your workbook sessions before each meeting. Come prepared.
Show up Be present — physically and emotionally. Your group is counting on you.
Be honest This isn't a place to perform. It's a place to be real.
Stay open You'll be challenged. That's the point. Lean in.
Your Next Steps
Step 1: Decide Are you in? Let the person who invited you know — yes or no. They're counting on your answer.
Step 2: Sign Up Once you've said yes, create your account on our app. It takes 2 minutes.
Step 3: Complete the Orientation There's a short 10-minute orientation in the app. Watch it before your first meeting.
Step 4: Order Your Materials You'll need the physical workbook (~$20) and a few companion books (~$20 to $40 used/new). The app will walk you through what to order and provide the direct links.
Step 5: Add It to Your Calendar Your leader will share the launch date and meeting schedule. Put it on your calendar now — and protect that time.

What Groups Are Saying
-
“Growing up in the Christian faith, I always felt like I was missing some important truth about my faith. It seemed as if getting saved and being good were the objectives to strive for, but that never rang true. It wasn’t until I was able to embrace the vulnerability of being an ordinary man, unable to meet my own expectations, let alone God’s, that I found that I could start to experience God’s grace and grow in true intimacy with Jesus. God chose the ordinary men of this world so that He would be glorified. In the daily discipline of being His disciple, expressed through a spirit of hospitality, I am now able to say, "I am willing Lord, send me."
-
“I feel like it opened the doors to being with other Christian men. It allows the freedom to speak your faith and engage in Christian conversations. Everyone I've met seems to be relaxed and willing to listen/talk about things most men are not willing to talk about.”
-
“This last year probably saved my "life". I say that as a guy who has struggled with depression, and leading up the start of OM, I was near my lowest point. The prayer and connection with the fellas in OM, coupled with the power of the Spirit, turned my outlook around, gave me friends to rely on, and support to take on each day and succeed. I love it.
In addition, I connected with a couple guys, I'd call deep friends, at this point. Men who I didn't know before, who have joined with me, and I with them, to grow closer to Christ and each other.”
-
“Ordinary Women encouraged me to take action in my spiritual life. After taking the initial step of spending more time with the Lord, I began to notice how He was working in and through me to reach the people closest to me. On top of that, I made some incredible friendships that will last a lifetime.”
-
“This study is biblically based and supported by respected theologians. It was incredible to meet other women who are godly and be supported by them throughout the year. I feel like our prayer was powerful and answered. I loved being up early in the morning to sit in my secret place and know that so many others were doing the same thing.”
-
“OW has pushed me to make space in my life for intentional relationships with people and ultimately Jesus. I have felt so supported by each person in my group throughout the last year and hope to show others how important it is in our faith to have a community like this. One to laugh and cry with, encourage, speak grace in truth, and walk side by side in our faith together. Truly a life-changing experience!”
