Thankfully, I have never had to use my fire extinguisher, and I hope that continues to be true. Many believers have the attitude that because they have never experienced the Holy Spirit, He must not be there, similar to saying a fire extinguisher is not usable simply because it was not needed. The sad truth is that many of us are living lives that do not require the Holy Spirit’s power. We are playing it safe, working within our own strengths and talents, but never stepping out in a way that would require the Holy Spirit to show up. The truth is that He is waiting for us to do something that requires and demands His power in order to succeed.

As I write this, I am asking myself if I am stepping out in faith in a way that requires His hand in my life. What about you? What about your group members? May we all live in such boldness and faith that either the Holy Spirit encounters our lives and situations or we fail. This would change the world!
