Sharing Jesus with others is often something many of us struggle with, but why?
In this podcast Jeremy and Emily discuss discipleship principle #5, Share Him. They will address the biggest struggles many of us encounter when sharing the Gospel and how to overcome them. Listen in to get encouragement and tools that will help you be a better disciple and sharer of the Good News!
Once I almost broke my friend’s fingers for taking my french fries. Sadly, this is a true story. Travis (who happens to be an OM) should have known I don't like to share; we are practically brothers, for goodness sake! Thankfully, I have greatly improved in this area of my life. But I still struggle with sharing. Especially when it comes to the Gospel.
What about you? Do you find that sharing the Gospel to non-believers is difficult?
Jesus clearly calls us to share Him with others, and it's at the core of the Great Commission (Mathew 28:19-20). As you discuss this topic with your group, try to identify what is keeping them from sharing the Gospel. I have found that a common hindrance is not having all the answers. I am sure this will come up in your meeting, so be ready to encourage your guys that we do not need to know all the answers in order to introduce someone to Jesus! It’s not about winning a debate; in fact no one has ever “argued someone into salvation.” The reality is that others are attracted to our genuineness and sincerity. Show them love (which is in our next session, by the way) and point them to Jesus. He will do the rest!
